In this instalment of Designer Hardwood’s series of How To Guides, we show you how you can create your own candle holder using Designer Hardwood pieces.
It’s so easy to create your own furnishings and custom pieces for your home or office. With only a few tools that you can find in your tool shed, our workshop team have designed some custom pieces to show you how you can create your own candle holder.
Tapered Candle Holder
Tapered Candle Holders are some of the most common types of candle holders. Using a Wood Lathe and some fine sandpaper, our workshop created this one of a kind candle holder. Designed to hold tapered candles, this piece made from Hoop Pine makes a great addition to suit any room. We’ve used a Cedar Proof tint as the finish, but you can use any type of finish to suit your style.
Candle Holder Block
The Designer Hardwood workshop team created a candle holder block that can hold different shaped candles or even a small pot plant. The grain of the wood show beautifully and you would never know that’s it’s not traditional hardwood! This candle block is created from our spotted gum range with a New Baltic Pine finish.
Multipurpose Candle Holder
This multipurpose candle holder has a range of different uses! Consisting of 3 separate pieces, this can hold tea light candle, tapered candles or bigger sized candles. Built from 3 pieces of Yellow & White Birch, the finish used was a wax heated by friction on lathe.
